Our Story

Englewood started as a church plant in 1945.  Our history is rich in reaching the community through ministries, missions, compassion, generosity, education, and outreach.  Englewood Christian School was constructed in 1975 and followed with the completion of a new daycare building in 1978.   We have planted churches in the Kansas City area and have sent out many to serve in ministry around the United States and the world.  The mission for Englewood from the beginning was to help people find and follow Jesus.

We are intentionally building a community of changed lives to change their world.  Giving life to those around us on a daily basis wherever we find ourselves.  Together we are better when we serve, give, and provide an environment  where people are valued and feel like they belong.  Our Groups are a great place to build relationships and grow in your relationship with God.  Join a serve team and join the mission!

We are passionate to reach the unchurched people of the Greater Kansas City area.  Everyone has a story and a journey that takes us to somewhere in life.  God is writing the manuscript for our church through people like you that have been changed or on the road to change.  The picture of water baptism is a great visual on what God does in our lives.  The old person is buried and the NEW is alive in Jesus when we give our lives to Him.  We are headed towards revival in our community and we would love for you to join us in the greatest adventure on this side of eternity!
